Disbe Good — Menu Photography Refresh
Food / Product / Brand Photography for Local Walk-In and Delivery Apps
Hero items: Beef Suya + Halal Wings
Platforms: Uber Eats + DoorDash
Outcome: Client reported a 30% increase in sales immediately following the shoot and through the first three months.
Overview
Disbe Good came to ImageWerkx for one reason: their food deserved better visuals. They had worked with a previous photographer, but the images weren’t doing the menu any favors—too flat, not enough detail, and not enough imagination. And on Uber Eats and DoorDash, that’s the difference between a scroll-by and an order.
The goal: create crave-first photography that makes signature items like Beef Suya and Halal Wings look as bold as they taste—while keeping the menu consistent and professional across a wide range of flavors
The Challenge
Delivery-app photography is high stakes and small real estate. Your image has to:
Read instantly as delicious in a thumbnail
Show texture and freshness (char, glaze, crisp edges, moisture)
Differentiate one item from the next so the menu doesn’t feel repetitive
The previous set wasn’t capturing what makes Disbe Good special—especially the detail and heat in the food. We needed photos that could sell the bite.
The ImageWerkx Approach
I treat delivery-app photography like performance marketing: the photo has one job—earn the click.
1) Detail that triggers hunger
For Beef Suya, I leaned into what matters: texture, spice, and that grilled finish that tells your brain “this is going to be a hit.” For Halal Wings, it was about crispness, sheen, and sauce presence—so they look hot, fresh, and worth the order.
2) Imagination without chaos
The styling was kept clean and appetizing, but not boring. Each dish got enough variation to feel distinct, while the overall set stayed cohesive—so the menu looks professional, not patchwork. The images were set in a style befitting the grilled goodness of the menu offerings.
3) Built for Uber Eats + DoorDash
Compositions were designed to perform on mobile: strong hero framing, clear portions, and zero distractions. If it doesn’t pop small, it doesn’t make the cut.
Deliverables
A refreshed menu library featuring a wide range of grilled meats and flavors
Hero images highlighting signature items including Beef Suya and Halal Wings
Files prepared for Uber Eats and DoorDash menu use with consistent visual styling
Result
Disbe Good reported a 30% increase in sales immediately following the shoot.
That’s the point of menu photography done right: the food looks irresistible before the customer ever tastes it.
Client Feedback
The client’s main takeaway was that the new work delivered what the previous set didn’t: more imagination, more detail, and a stronger representation of their food—the kind of upgrade that shows up in orders.
